The Latest News as of July 20, 2008

Coaches Meeting will be at Spring Creek Barbecue on Hwy. 377 on Sunday, July 27th between 6:30 PM & 9:00 PM.  While GSA is not providing the dinner at Spring Creek, I still need you to RSVP by phone or email so they can be prepared for the group.  The room seats up to 70 people so if you would like to bring your family, you are welcome to do that. We will have a drawing for the coaches that are present to win gifts from the Association.

We would like to use this meeting to inform you of some changes within the Association and get your feedback. This will be a good time to make suggestions, voice your concerns or just address issues in general.  It is imperative that each and everyone of you attend this meeting for the future of Granbury Soccer.  You may RSVP to Christina Drewry at 817-579-5157 or email at Cadrewry@aol.com. This contact information is on the website as well.

We are holding the Regular Seasonal Coaches Meeting on Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 PM.  Location to be announced soon. You will be able to pick up your Team Rosters, Uniforms and Coaching Materials that night.

Our Bylaws state in Section 19 "All coaches must have a North Texas State Soccer Association license. All new coaches have one (1) year to fulfill this requirement."  We offer a Coaching Clinic every year for your convenience.  This year we will host a free F Clinic for the Granbury coaches starting on Friday evening August 15th and will finish up on Saturday mid-day August 16th. If you are interested in attending, please contact Rahn Welch at 817-279-0492 or email him at rawelch@earthlink.net. This clinic covers everything that a G Clinic does and a little bit more.
