Chris is the son of David and Rita Arterburn.
Chris' sister Jennifer graduated CHS Class 2001. He has
attended Crowley schools all his life. Chris is a 2 year
letterman & Varsity Starter. In 2002, Chris racked up some
pretty impressive statistics and was selected All-District 1st Team
Goalkeeper in District 4-4A. This year Chris, along with a
solid Crowley Eagle defense, has allowed only one goal per game for
the season, and an impressive .36 goals per game in district play.
Chris was selected by the Ft Worth Star-Telegram as a District 6-4A
"Player to Watch." Chris began playing soccer in 1992 with the
ft Worth YMCA. One of his teammates that year was Scott
Richards. Chris and Scott have been playing soccer together
ever since. two years later, Chris began to play competitive
soccer. He has played on such prestigious teams as ft Worth
Rolling Thunder and Texas Lightning. Chris played in the
Dallas Chamber Classic Soccer Association for 6 years. During
those years Chris made 3 appearances in the highly acclaimed
international tournament, the Dallas Cup. In addition to
playing soccer, Chris loves spending time with Morgan, hanging out
with friends and tinkering on his car. Chris plans to attend
college in teh fall. He is interested in business and law.

Scott is the son of George and Jan Richards and
has been a student in the Crowley ISD since the 2nd Grade.
Scott is a 4 year varsity starter and letterman. As a freshman
he was CHS Newcomer of the year and District 10-4A 2nd team
defender. As a junior, Scott served as co-captain and was
voted 1st team All District 4-4A utiltiy player. As a senior,
Scott was named by the Star Telegram as "Player to Watch."
From the defense, Scott scored 6 goals and had 8 assists.
Schott and Chris Arterburn have played on the same teams together
since they were 9. this year, these two have helped anchor a
stingy Crowley defense that has only given up 4 goals in District
play for an impressive .36 goals allowed per game. Scott first
started playing soccer at the age of 4 with the YMCA and never
stopped playing. Scott has played in the Dallas Chamber
Classic Division I since Under 12. In that league he's played
on Ft Worth Rolling Thunder, Texas Lightning, and Solar. Soctt
has been a prior team member of the District ODP and is a 3 time
participant in the prestigious Dallas Cup international soccer
tournament. His Solar club team is the 2001 & 2002 Puma Cup
Champions and a semifinalist team in the 2002 Region 1 State Cup.
Scott is a lifeguard for the YMCA in the summer and loves hanging
out with friends an Sonic and playing sand volleyball. Scott's
academic achievements include a 3.59 GPA, Who's Who Among HS
students and Academic letter recipient. Scott will attend
Texas Tech in the Fall and major in Physical Therapy. He hopes
to make Tech's soccer club team and continue to play. His
dream to graduate from Tech and return to the soccer field, but this
time as a coach. His parents are very proud that he has worked
so hard to get this field. |
